Theopolis "Theo" Roddy Obituary

Theopolis “Theo” Roddy was born May 26, 1955 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to Ambrose
“Buddy Man” Roddy and Ella Lee “Precious” Knox

Theo accepted Jesus Christ as his LORD and Savior at an early age, and joined the Trice Chapel
Missionary Baptist Church in Cotton Plant. He, as a young man, frequently traveled throughout
the State of Arkansas singing with The Spiritual Consolers, a male gospel acapello group spon-
sored by Reverend and Mrs. Williams.

Theo was raised in Cotton Plant, attended Cotton Plant Public Schools, graduating Class of
1972. He also attended University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, studying Agricultural Agronomy,
and was a “Stepper.”

Theo was united in holy matrimony to Barbara Washington in 1984. The marriage ended after
four years. In 1988, Theo married Sandra Nell Tisino and raised their three Children, Ereicka
Simone, Christian “Chris” Dion, and Andrae Romar. Theo and Sandra were united in Holy Mat-
rimony for 36 years and repeated their Wedding Vows 3 times while attending several Church
Sponsored Marriage Seminars. They have 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Theo served in the United States Navy from 1979-1987 as a Machinist Mate and a Diesel
Mechanic in San Diego, California. His working career included Truck Driver, Lift Operator,
Building Maintenance Specialist, and Security in Seattle, Washington.

Theo’s Educational Training consisted of: CDL Class A Endorsement, Doubles & Triples, 8
weeks courses on Steam Proportion and Diesel Mechanics and Steam Turbines.

Theo Loved The LORD Jesus Christ and served at Beacon Avenue church of God as Deacon,
Trustee, Brotherhood Treasurer, Adult Sunday School Teacher, and sang in the Choir and on the
Praise Team after joining Beacon Avenue in 1987. Theo also enjoyed performing skits and plays.

Theo was truly a Family Man, met no Stranger, favored gardening especially beautifying and
watering plants keeping an immaculate and beautiful lawn/landscape. He enjoyed working with
his hands on cars, and watching several favorite television shows Law N Order, NCIS, and FBI.

Theo was also an avid sports watcher, finding his “true” calling was not playing the game of
football but being an observer.
