William Finister was born in Good Pine, Louisiana to the union of Sarah and Roscoe Finister. He was baptized at the early age of fifteen at Rev. Phillips church.
William proudly served in the U.S. Army in 1961, when he was 18-years-old, and worked at the infamous Kingdome Stadium for King County (now CenturyLink Field), and Lockheed Shipyard for many years before starting his own business as a professional painter.
William was a loving brother, always joking around, and was a very positive outgoing person. He loved listening to Jazz and R&B.
William was preceded in death by his parents Roscoe and Sarah Finister, his ex-wife Theda Mitchell, his brothers, Eddie, Roscoe, Jr., and Clifford Ray Finister.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his daughter, Christine Brooks (Lannie); his grandchildren, Preston and Brianna; seven sisters: Theresa Finister (of Antioch, California), Mary Ellen Egner, Gigi Finister, Cora Smith, Vassie Wright, Bonita Moton, and Elizabeth Beaver all of Seattle, Washington. He also leaves his Aunt Ophelia Tyson of Los Angeles and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Due to Governor Inslee COVID-19 restrictions, the memorial services will be held at a later date.
Thank you for your prayer, love, and support.
