William J. Marley (BJ / Jake), a beloved husband, son, brother, grandson, and cherished friend, passed away unexpectedly on June 23, 2026, in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 28.

William was born on June 4, 1998, in Seattle, Washington, to his devoted mother, Letitia London, and his late father, Larandus “Randy” Marley.

A proud lifelong resident of the Seattle community, William excelled in his academic pursuits. He graduated from Garfield High School in 2016 and went on to pursue higher education, expanding his horizons and building his exceptional skill set at Eastern Oregon University, Central Washington University, and the University of Puget Sound.

BJ was best known for his magnificent, larger-than-life personality. A great dedicated friend to many, William was also a phenomenal and fierce athlete. He was an excellent football player, known for his leadership, discipline, and competitive dominance on the field. He possessed an infectious smile that could light up any room he walked into, and an easygoing, genuine nature that made everyone in his presence feel valued, seen, and loved. His relentless work ethic, standard of excellence, and devotion to his family leave an unshakeable legacy that will be carried forward forever.

William is survived by his loving wife, Hope Buthelezi his devoted mother, Letitia London; his protective younger brother, Jonathan London-Sadler his additional beloved siblings; his proud grandfather, Willie London, Grandmother Wanda Williams, two special Great Aunts, Euna Green “Baby Girl” and Faye Lowe and a large, deeply affectionate extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss his warmth and presence dearly. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, the late Mary Louise London.
